We are very excited about this series of books. Most of them are in dire condition and they smell of smoke, so what is so special about them? It is the date that it came off the press that gets our hearts beating faster; 1868. Charles Dickens lived until June 1870. The great man was alive when this book was printed. He might have been there to oversee the printing process, he might have had a look through the book…just imagine the enormity of the fact: this book could have been in his hands. No one will ever know, but the dates don’t lie. The images are clear and the pages are still readable but we would advise you to get yourself a newer copy for reading and keep this one safe, treasure it.
