Crown Devon Sugar Sifter
Made by S. Fielding & Co. ca 1890-1915
€40,00
The pattern on this item is called ‘Elm’. Once upon a time in the late 1900’s there used to be complete dinner sets of porcelain with this pattern in existence. Nowadays it is a rare find. We love it. It is clearly old, but there are no real marks on it to show that it was ever actually in use. Perhaps it functioned as a status symbol, if you had something like this on your dresser, you were a rich person. Not too rich, mind, there are no silver marks in the top it’s a silver-plated metal. The silver colour is beginning to fade at the top. Still, if you’re a collector, this would make a lovely addition. Watch this space, we have about 8 different sugar shakers on offer, they will all be posted on this site in the coming days.
